How Much Is Delivery?

How Will I Receive My Purchase?

Our preferred courier is Royal Mail using their special delivery service but please note we reserve the right to choose any courier if the situation requires it - all shipments remain trackable and insured buy Chards up to the point of delivery and signature. After we receive a signature, we accept no liability for the goods even if this signature is someone else than the billing contact.  

Despatch emails will keep you up to date with your order progress and we also communicate tracking numbers via email. 

If no one is available to take receipt of your delivery your parcel will be held at a local depot for you to collect. Please do not delay in picking up your parcel as it will be returned to us and we will have to charge again for delivery.  

Will My Order Be Packaged Discreetly?

When we package your orders our team is mindful of your delivery, taking care ensuring each parcel is anonymous and secure. Your coins and bars will be delivered in sealed packages that are absent of branding, with our address even being replaced by our PO Box. To avoid your items being identified, the products will be tightly wrapped with evenly distributed throughout the parcel or box.  

When Will My Delivery Arrive?

Our order processing system will send you a despatch email on the day the parcel is packed (please note which may be well in advance of the delivery date). We cannot provide exact delivery times for most postal services and if we do get any information regarding delivery, we always pass it on. If you are an international customer, it can take some time before your local customs process and release your package. All orders will be despatched within 2 working days if the items are in stock.

Please note some of our products are pre-order and orderable and as such we may not have stocks on-site at that time. If you have any questions regarding these products, please call the showroom on 01253 343081 before placing an order.

Can I Have My Order Delivered to an Alternative Address?

Any orders paid for by bank transfer or cheque can be despatched to an alternative address. All debit card orders must be sent to the billing address of the payment card.  

Which Courier Do You Use? 

Our preferred courier is Royal Mail using their special delivery service and we reserve the right to use any courier should the situation require it. Parcels may be split down to limit parcel value for insurance reasons. If you are selling your gold or silver bullion to Chards we offer a fully insured distance buy in service allowing you to sell physical bullion without leaving the house!

Do You Have a Showroom?

Yes, our office is in Blackpool, North West England. The address is 32-36 Harrowside, Blackpool, FY4 1RJ, (Sat Nav postcode - FY4 1LY) and you are welcome to visit anytime but please book an appointment first. You can book an appointment between 10:00am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday 24 hours after placing an order. If the collection of your order is urgent you can always phone us on 01253 343081 and we can advise you whether a same day option is available. 

Do You Deliver Outside of the UK?

Yes, we can deliver anywhere in the world. We try to use Royal Mail but where this is not available, we have a range of other couriers we can use. Shipping may be more expensive or take longer and we can advise you at the time of purchase. We do ask you to check the local legal status, custom rules as in some countries restrictions are in place and we may require a signed disclaimer to send gold, silver or legal tender.

Do You Offer Free Delivery?

We may offer free delivery for short periods on special offer items. We believe that companies offering "free" postage are misleading consumers although this is a very grey area overlooked with current regulation. There is no such thing as a free lunch and postage costs need paying with customers unknowingly paying higher product or service costs to accommodate the business expense. Not only that if you opt for collection at some of our competition you still pay the prices including postage whereas at Chards you can save more as we quote prices before delivery. Do Chards Offer Same Day Despatch?

All orders placed before 1pm will be despatched the same day if the requested items are in stock, otherwise are processed the following working day.

Can I Merge Orders?

If you have placed multiple orders and would like to have them despatched together simply contact us on 01253 343081 , or email [email protected] preferably no later than 48 hours after your first order has been accepted
