“Would rate 4.5 out of 5 if I could (rather than 4). Kieran was easy and efficient to deal with. During prior telephone calls, one lady I spoke to (can't recall her name) was very helpful and preempted a few questions I didn't even realise I had. Before that I had an initial call with a chap who I guess was fairly new; he was very polite and answered my questions but was not as pro-active in anticipating what might be helpful to know at that stage (I'm nit picking slightly; this is meant as well meaning feedback only). One other point; on requesting a callback from a particular member of staff, I was informed this could take a day or two, which to me is a bit too slow. Ideally I'd want a call back within the day if not 1st thing the following morning. Given the way metals prices are moving these days, I want to get things done as promptly as possible when considering a purchase or sale. This is meant as relatively minor constructive feedback though - overall I'm happy with the service and would be pleased to use Chards again in future.”

“Chards have been my favourite bullion dealer for a long time. They are generally reliable, efficient and, despite the postage cost and credit card niggle, competitively priced product. I have been buying coins from Chards for a long time, several decades, since the website was just form and you sent a cheque, but generally I pay by bank transfer. When I got the gold itch again and logged in to make a purchase I had to wait for an authentication code before I could fully log in. And then when I wanted to choose bank transfer I found that Chards now want to hold my bank details. By this time I had hesitated a few seconds too long and the refreshed price has increased. I bought the gold piece I wanted from Atkinson Bullion. I am sure Chards have a good reason for wanting to hold my bank account details on their system, but I don't think it will be for the customers benefit and for me it is a step too far by Chards.”
