“The most sought-after and scarcest modern gold sovereigns ever to be issued that sell out in record times are the late Queen Elizabeth II’s six one-off “Special Reverses.” Unscrupulous coin dealers, with the notable exception of Chards, excessively overcharge on the special reverses. The specific special reverse I ordered from Chards was the 2012 Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Gold Proof Sovereign PF70 UCAM. The reverse features an alternative Arthurian-style St. George lancing the Dragon. Chards kept me informed throughout the whole order and delivery process with timely updates about the postal strikes. Bound in bubble wrap, the NGC slabbed coin arrived promptly and perfectly packaged in a cushioned Jiffy bag which I later reused to renew my old passport. “Good website and ordering was easy. The coin I wanted was unavailable at the time of ordering but I did receive an email explaining the coin would be despatched after it had arrived in stock. Some time later I received an request asking for a suitable date for the coins despatch as Chards were trying to work their deliveries around the ongoing postal strikes. Again, I received an email notifying me that the coin would be despatched and subsequently the coin arrived three days later. I was slightly disappointed with the three day wait but unsure where the delay was, Chards or the Postal Service.”
