Compare Percentages Not Prices

When you are looking at buying gold or silver, compare the percentage over the live spot price for each option. We call this the percentage premium, or just premium. The actual prices fluctuate constantly along with the underlying gold price, so simply look at the price as a percentage of, or above the actual gold content of the coin or the bar

Buy for spot price or as close as possible if you are intersted in bullion and straightforward gold and silver investing. For those customers intersted in collectable pieces do your research and make sure the higher premiums and surcharges are appropriate.

Postage costs can also affect the final price you pay. Do not be misled by "free" postage. Read more about this on our postage blog.
