Mrs Tiggy-Winkle is the fourth coin in a five-coin series celebrating the life and works of Beatrix Potter. This is the coloured silver proof version of the coin.
The coin comes in a perspex presentation box and is issued with a box and certificate. Mrs Tiggy-Winkle is a hedgehog and the laundress for the animals in the village. The Tale of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle was published in 1905 and Beatrix Potter based the character on her pet hedgehog with the same name.
Mintage for the 2016 Mrs Tiggy-Winkle 50p circulation coin that you will find in your change is 8,800,000.

The reverse shows Mrs Tiggy-Winkle. It was designed by the Royal Mint engraver, Emma Noble, who has designed the other coins in the series. The silver proof version of the coin is coloured, whereas the uncirculated coin is not.
