Mrs Tiggy-Winkle is a hedgehog and the laundress for the animals in the village. The Tale of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle was published in 1905 and Beatrix Potter based the character on her pet hedgehog with the same name. This coin is made in brilliant uncirculated condition and comes presented in a colourful folder.
Mintage for the 2016 Mrs Tiggy-Winkle 50p circulation coin that you will find in your change is 8,800,000.

The reverse shows Mrs Tiggy-Winkle. It was designed by the Royal Mint engraver, Emma Noble, who has designed the other coins in the series. The silver proof version of the coin is coloured, whereas the uncirculated coin is not.
