The 2015 Britannia one ounce silver uncirculated coins bear the classic standing Britannia by Philip Nathan. Struck in 0.999 silver fineness, these bullion coins feature a dimpled background on both the obverse and reverse.
As in recent years, the 2015 silver Britannia will be struck in 0.999 fineness. It has a face value of £2 and contains one troy ounce of silver. The silver Britannia was introduced in 1997 following the success of the gold version. The field on both sides of the coin has a dimpled effect, giving it a matte finish. We prefer this as it doesn't show any production marks which we've come to expect in previous years.
