This 2002 Golden Jubilee Isle of Man 2 Coin Set was issued to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II.
The two gold coins in this set portray the iconic moments of her early reign; the Coronation and Trooping the Colour.
On the 2nd day of June 1953, the young Elizabeth was crowned Queen. The Coronation was an event shared by millions, whether as part of the privileged congregation in Westminster Abbey, as part of the crowd lining the streets of London, or as part of the huge audience who watched on television.
The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II
Each Manx coin depicts a different royal ceremony.
The Coronation: The crowned Queen Elizabeth II in her carriage, holding The Sovereign's Orb and The Sovereign's Sceptre. The text reads:
1952 GOLDEN JUBILEE OF QUEEN ELIZABETH II 2002
1 CROWN
Trooping the Colour: Queen Elizabeth II on horseback. She is wearing ceremonial dress.

Each coin features the 2002 Golden Jubilee Privy Mark, which was used on Golden Jubilee coins that were issued throughout the Commonwealth.
