This week we're talking to Georgina. She's our bookkeeper and has been with the company for over 10 years. She's also the tidiest and most organised member of staff, which really pulls up our average because we're a messy bunch!

What's your hometown?

Blackpool - I am Blackpool born and bred and I love living here.

What do you do at Chards?

I am the bookkeeper and I have been since September 2016, although I have worked for the company since March 2010. I started in the customer advisor role so I did use to be able to do the admin role but not anymore!

What's the best thing about working at Chards?

The fact it is a family business and we are all appreciated for what we do and what we bring to the business.  I have also made some great friends working here. Oh, and not forgetting, the Christmas Party each year is always quite amazing!

What's your favourite coin?

I shamefully do not have one! I am more interested in the accounts! I can say though that one design I do not like is the 2005 Unc Sovereign – I prefer the classic design.

What are you missing most during lockdown?

The hugs from my family and friends.

One thing you didn’t know about the coin / bullion industry before working at Chards?

I didn’t know anything about the industry never mind just one thing!

What would you be doing if you didn’t work at Chards?

I don’t know to be honest. I have worked here for the past 10 years so I can’t imagine not working for Chards. I used to work in an admin role at a builder's company which is what led me to apply for the job role at Chards and I have to say I am glad I did move on.

What are your top 3 things to make lockdown pass?

1/  Ozark - The best thing I have watched in ages and we have finished the 3rd season now so I am missing it terribly!

2/ The Secret Commonwealth: The Book of Dust Volume Two - I love Philip Pullman books and Jane, our company director, has actually let me borrow this book off her to read. It’s very exciting if you are into that kind of thing.

3/ Homeland – The eighth season ended a few weeks ago. I have watched this since it first aired in 2011 and I miss this even more than Ozark!
