SynopsisToday we're interviewing our Marketing Assistant, Amy (aka me!)
What do you do at Chards?
I operate the social media accounts as well as helping out with marketing and video production. I usually deal with new product releases.
How long have you worked for Chards?
10 years. There’s been so many incredible changes from a complete website overhaul to moving showrooms.
What's the best thing about working at Chards?
Apart from working for a reputable company, definitely the people! And the sparkly jewellery.
What's your favourite coin?
The Back to the Future hoverboard coin. We’ve never stocked it but I love an ‘80’s vibe.
One thing you didn’t know about the coin / bullion industry before working at Chards?
I always thought ‘bullion’ referred to the giant gold bars you see in films. I still remember someone showing me a Krugerrand and thinking 'is that it?!'.
What would you be doing if you weren’t working at Chards?
A cookie-sandwich business because why settle for having dangerous levels of sugar in your system when you can have critical levels?
What's your favourite quote?
"Every pizza can be a personal pizza if you try hard enough and believe in yourself" - Bill Murray.
What are your current top 3 podcasts/books?
1/ My Favourite Murder - I probably listen to about 4 podcasts a day, but murder ones are my favourite.
2/ Smartless - Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes interview mystery guests.
3/ Stories I Only Tell My Friends by Rob Lowe. It's my current read and completely fascinating!
Do you have a favourite work mishap?
I once tweeted it was St Patrick’s day about a month in advance. I meant to hit the schedule button but it got away from me!
Any secret talents?
I’m really good at having a photo taken where the top of hair vanishes. It’s very reflective.
Anything else you would like to say?
I set these interviews up for the rest of the team, and it’s actually pretty embarrassing, so well done rest of the team! You’re all good sports!
