Capital Gains Tax on Bullion – Do I pay this?

The obverse of the coin is the second of the three main Victoria portraits, the Jubilee Head. This was designed by Joseph Edgar Boehm, and was introduced in 1887 to mark Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. This portrait caused a public outcry as they felt the Queen looked silly with the small crown perched atop her head. His initials J.E.B. are in the truncated shoulder. The letters D:G: of the inscription VICTORIA D:G: BRITT:REG:F:D: are set closer to the crown.

The reverse of the coins features the classic St George and the Dragon design by the Italian engraver Benedetto Pistrucci. The horse has a slightly longer tail on this engraving. The date and initials B.P. arein the space below the design. The S mint mark in the ground above the year shows that the coin was struck in Sydney, Australia.
