1821 Gold Proof Sovereign George IV London NGC PF-62 CAMEO

Add a 1821 George IV Gold Proof Sovereign NGC PF-62 CAMEO coin to your collection!

This 1821 gold proof sovereign is one of the first proof sovereigns issued commercially by the Royal Mint. This is also the first year that sovereigns were issued during King George IV's reign.

The mintage figure of these 1821 gold proof sovereigns is unknown. The coins are incredibly scarce and highly sought-after.

This coin has been graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) who have ascertained the coin to be PF-62 condition. The coin is also 'cameo' meaning there is a high contrast between the design and the background.

This sovereign is struck from 22 carat gold (0.917 fineness), and contains 0.2354 troy ounces of the precious metal.
